Last Wednesday, Craft's father, Willie, was sentenced in the death of Liu. That was when Craft started yelling at Liu's parents. His brother, Willie, Jr., was arrested for yelling at the judge. He's still in custody.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- An area man will spend six months in jail for criminal contempt of court after lashing out at the judge who sentenced his father to prison. Willie Craft, Jr., screamed at Judge Richard Klaus, calling him a "stupid bitch," more than once.

Klaus sentenced 59-year old Willie Craft, Sr., to 3.5 years for reckless homicide. In June, he pleaded guilty to causing the death of a 20-year old UI student when he hit her with his truck during a diabetic medical incident. Another student was seriously injured in the accident, but survived.

Craft, Jr., yelled at the judge for the sentencing saying the incident was an accident. Craft originally faced aggravated DUI charges, but those were dismissed as part of the plea deal. Craft faced up to five years in prison.

Shortly after the accident, Craft told police he didn't have insurance on his vehicle and hadn't driven in more than three years because of his condition. He also hadn't eaten breakfast that morning and was treated at the scene for "significantly low blood sugar levels."
