DANVILLE -- Workers at the David S. Palmer Arena are beefing up security. They'll check bags and coats and use metal detectors. It's a policy which has always been in place, but recent incidents are creating a need to enforce it. The rules will only be applied for certain events, like concerts.

The manager says it will be enforced at the upcoming Duck Dynasty appearance. The open bag policy should also help keep outside food and drinks from being brought inside.
