Tomorrow's State of the State speech delivered by Governor Pat Quinn will most likely meet some resistance. A group of concerned parents plan to protest Quinn's plans to close Jacksonville Developmental Center.
The parents say Quinn left them out of the decision making process and failed to provide details concerning the closing. Quinn claims moving the JDC residents into community care will save money, but parents say it's unfair for the governor to balance the budget on the backs of their disabled children.
