CHAMPAIGN -- A new program is ready to take off at Parkland College. The Institute of Aviation is relocating to the school after being dropped at UI.

Currently, the institute is working out all the logistics for a smooth transition. The chief pilot says it's important to remember the program isn't just for students.

He says there's a big demand for pilots. Many are retiring and it's been tough filling all the open positions. The FAA says a rookie pilot makes just under $100,000/year.
