People Prepare for Disaster in Philo

It is something we can't plan for, a fire, tornado or a blizzard, but people in Philo are doing their best to try.  Philo ESDA put on two disaster preparedness events.
Boy Scout troop 50 was among the guests.  They were trying to earn their Emergency Preparedness merit badge.
They played tornado toss, read emergency how-to guides and got home disaster kits.
But the troop is already well-versed in helping out during bad situations.  Last summer they helped pass out water to firefighters when a building burnt down in downtown Villa Grove.
The event was at the Thelma Melohn Gymnasium in Philo.
