Peterson Appears in Court

CHICAGO -- Drew Peterson appeared in a Chicago court today for a hearing before his upcoming murder trial. The former police sergeant is accused of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2004.
Coroners initially ruled Savio's death an accidental drowning. After Peterson's fourth wife, Stacy, disappeared in 2007, investigators exhumed Savio's body.
New autopsies reclassified Savio's death as a homicide. Peterson was charged with murder. Prosecutors hope to start the trial in late spring or early summer.
