Pets escape early morning house fire

RANTOUL -- Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire. It happened about 4 am in the 1100-block of Bel Aire Drive.

Authorities say a person, renting the house, was not home at the time. No one was hurt. Two pets inside the home escaped. It's believed the fire started at the front of the home.

Crews were able to bring it under control in about 30-mimnutes. Damage is estimated at $25,000.
