Ken Reiterman couldn't believe it when he saw it, but he filled up for $0.29/gallon. He stopped at Circle K around 6:30 am. Reiterman saw $0.299 on the pump, but figured it was a mistake, so he went along as usual. But when he finished up, Reiterman realized he really did just get a great deal on gas.
"I was thinking about that today and really the only thing better than 29-cent gas is free gas, but I don't think it's going to get much lower than 29-cents," said Reiterman.
Reiterman says he usually spends about $140 a month on gas. That should be a little lower this month. The gas station's manager says they meant to set the price at $2.99 this morning, but made a mistake. They fixed it within about 20 minutes, but a handful of other people also got some deeply-discounted gas. Reiterman says he knows this will probably never happen to him again, but he feels lucky that it did this once.
