Police chase man wanted for parole violation

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Police say a wanted man may be armed and dangerous. They believe Michael Mackey was involved in two armed robberies.

An active warrant is out for his arrest. Tuesday night, he led police on a cross-county chase. He was driving a 2003 maroon Chevy Impala, license # L877501.

CHAMPAIGN -- Police want you to watch out for a man who led them on a cross-county chase. It started just after 6 pm Tuesday on I-57, heading North.

It continued for about 30 minutes and ended just outside Gibson City. Police were trying to catch Michael Mackey. They say he violated his parole for aggravated robbery.

The 41-year old is 6', with blue eyes. He was driving a maroon 2003 Chevy Impala, license plate number: L877501.
