UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Police say someone has admitted to starting fires on campus. They happened July 3, in two locations.

The first fire happened in the tunnel connecting the Undergraduate Library to the Main Library. Firefighters say it started suspiciously in a wall-mounted trash can.

Then, police were called to investigate another fire in a UPS drop box in the 600-block of East Green Street.

Security camera video from the Undergraduate Library led police to two "persons of interest." They say both are juveniles and no names have been released. Authorities say one of them admitted to starting the fires July 3. Police are still investigating.
