Police investigate double homicide at motel

PONTIAC -- We have learned the name of the second victim in a double homicide. Tyler Friant, 22, was identified by the Livingston County Coroner Wednesday. His mother, Jean Ann Corrice, 57, was named Thursday.

Both were found shot to death at the Palamar Motel Tuesday. Corrice's other son was also found seriously hurt, and is recovering in a Springfield hospital. Police are still investigating.

PONTIAC -- Police say a mother and son were found shot to death in a motel. Authorities aren't releasing the victims' names.

They say the woman's other son was taken to the hospital. Police responded to the motel for a wellness check.

The family lived there. Investigators say they are not searching for any other suspects.

PONTIAC -- Police still aren't releasing the names of two people found dead in a motel. They confirm it was a mother and son shot to death at the Palamar Motel. The woman's other son was taken to the hospital.

The family lived at the motel. A coworker of one of the residents was concerned and asked police to do a wellness check.

PONTIAC-- Two people are dead and a third seriously hurt. Police were called to the Palamar Motel in the 200 block of South Ladd just before 11:00 Tuesday morning for a well-being check. They aren't releasing details about what went on in the room.

They are calling it a homicide investigation. The parking lot was blocked off this afternoon. The names of those involved aren't being released at this time and next-of-kin has not been notified.
