Police investigate home invasion/shooting

SPRINGFIELD -- Police are investigating a home invasion and aggravated battery with a weapon. It happened October 4, about 5:20 am, on Grand Valley Drive.

Two men forced their way into the home and shot a man in the leg. They fled the scene through neighboring yards heading toward Lilac Drive.

The suspects are described as black men, about 6'2", one with a thin build, the other huskier. Both wore t-shirts over their faces.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.

SPRINGFIELD -- A 28-year old man is hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the leg during a home invasion. It happened on Grand Valley Drive.

Five witnesses in the home at the time say the suspects are two black men. Police are investigating.
