Police investigate shooting; two men injured

CHAMPAIGN -- In the Crime of the Week, police are investigating a shooting. It happened about 3 am, Saturday, March 29, in the Bristol Park area, near Market Street and Bradley Avenue. Two people were shot. Their conditions are not known.

CHAMPAIGN -- Two men were shot and now police are searching for suspects. About 3:05 am, Saturday, police responded to the 100-block of Bellefontaine for a report of multiple gunshots.

Officers found two men suffering gunshot wounds. The victims provided police with limited information about the incident and did not provide a description of the suspect(s).

A 24-year old, from Champaign, was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The second victim, 23, also of Champaign, was taken to the hospital by a a privately-owned vehicle.

Police say both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
