WEST LAFAYETTE, IN -- A Purdue University student was shot and killed on campus Tuesday. It happened in the school's electrical engineering building.

Police say it appears the suspect was targeting the victim and no one else. The suspect didn't resist when police arrived.

Students in the building were evacuated. A text alert was issued to warn other students and staff to stay where they were.
