CHARLESTON -- A 31-year old man faces charges of felony theft. Police say Paul Tart was arrested after an investigation showed he received donations from area churches fraudulently.

Authorities allege Tart told church leaders he had a hospitalized child and was a disabled veteran, and would then receive money, gas and a vehicle from a church. Several in the area were targeted.

Authorities ask anyone with information of Tart attempting to or successfully defrauding them to call police.
