SAVOY -- New houses are springing up like weeks in a Central Illinois town. Growth is something people in Our Town are pretty used to.

Since 1970, it's seen an almost 400% increase in population. It's because more and more homes are being built. Five new subdivisions popped up in the past ten years. Three are growing right now. That's 24 houses in the middle of construction.

The village president says people like living in Our Town for a few reasons; it's friendly, they like to keep taxes low and the range of home prices. He says you can find something for new buyers all the way to those ready to retire.
