CHICAGO -- Postal workers around the country are calling on Congress to improve service, not cut it. Workers rallied in downtown Chicago Sunday protesting looming office closures. They even asked for the Postmaster's resignation.

In Des Moines, IA, people from various groups held signs to bring attention to why they say people need mail six days a week. Postal officials plan to stop delivering and collecting everything except packages on Saturdays.

They say the internet has contributed to the $16-billion loss it reported last year. They hope the cuts can save about $2-billion.
