CBS -- You might not know taking pictures on your smartphone could put your kids at risk. When photos are loaded online, embedded information could reveal where you live, where your kids go to daycare or even the park you like to take them to.

Will Ambruzs is the director of forensics at Flashback Data. He says GPS information from your smartphone includes longitude, latitude and even elevation. All that has to be done is map those coordinates and it's easy to zoom in on where someone is.

He says there area a few simple steps you can take to protect your privacy. Ambruzs says the tracking can get fairly specific with time-stamps and information which could lead someone to a specific address on any street.
