PHILO -- One family is thankful their pipes didn't burst, but they lost power and the temperature inside their home plummeted. It happened in the 800-block of County Road 1500-East. More than 30 homes lost power Sunday night.

The Hand family grabbed coats, ski masks, hats and bundled up in bed. They were prepared to leave home, fearing the worst-case scenario. It dropped to about 50 degrees. It took 15 hours for power to be restored.
