President has stern warning for lawmakers

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hours after praising lawmakers for reaching a deal to end the shutdown, President Obama delivered another message. It was a stern warning.

About 70,000 federal workers filed for unemployment during the first week of October. The deal approved by Congress does approve back-pay for federal employees, so most states will ask workers to repay any unemployment checks they received.
