There's no doubt this was a great tournament. You had upsets, buzzer beaters and the highest seed combination in the tournament's history; all of which made it hard to fill out a bracket. Fans at Buffalo Wild Wings watched the final game and many leading up to it.
When you're filling out your bracket rather than responding to a work email, it's costing your company money. A recent study from Challenger, Gray & Christmas says companies lost at least $1.2 billion for every unproductive work hour. And that was just for the first week of the tournament.
"It was just a right of passage. I grew up in the Midwest and basketball was a pretty big thing in the Midwest. You took off Thursday and Friday of the tournament. Maybe one day official and one day unofficial."
The same study says 50 million Americans participated in office pools this year. Buffalo Wild Wings is probably not happy the tournament is over. The manager says the tournament is, by far, their busiest time of year. The tournament had five overtime games adding even more excitement to March Madness.
