CHAMPAIGN -- City council members voted to keep property taxes the same as last year. The council was deciding between two options.

The first would have raised property taxes. That was voted down. The second option was to accept less revenue. Members approved that with a 7 - 2 vote. Because of that, the city will lose more than $200,000.
