CHICAGO -- Federal prosecutors were granted more time to prepare their brief in former Governor Rod Blagojevich's appeal. They now have until November 4.

Blagojevich filed the appeal in July. He asked the court to throw out his convictions or reduce his 14-year sentence.

Blagojevich was convicted on corruption charges in 2011. Prosecutors say they asked for more time because of his large case file.
