Protest intended to raise awareness

CHAMPAIGN -- Downtown Sunday, a group of people called for peace in Gaza. They are from AWARE, which stands for Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort. The violence in Gaza started a month ago.

Since then, more than 1,800 Palestinians and more than 60 Israelis have been killed The group is committed to protesting once a month until the violence ends. It's been protesting violence since after 9-11.

URBANA -- More than 100 people gathered to protest the war in Gaza Friday. They say the recent conflict has not been fairly portrayed by the media and they're protesting to bring attention. Since fighting began, more than 800 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 40 Israelis have died.
