SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois is getting drier by the day. Now, Governor Quinn is stepping in to take on the drought.

He's heading to Southern Illinois Monday. That's when he'll lay out his action plan against this hot, dry summer.

He put a special task force together to come up with solutions. No word what those might be. 26-counties in Southern Illinois already qualify for emergency loans to get through the season.
