ILLINOIS -- The Illinois Central Railroad Company must pay more than $100,000 in fines. The U.S. Department of Labor cited the company for a number of violations.

The biggest was workers not wearing necessary safety gear. OSHA described many of the company's problems as "unacceptable." It has 15 days to comply or appeal the findings.
