Recent rains not a problem for Lake Decatur

DECATUR -- Towns around Central Illinois were devastated by flooding, but all of the rain actually helped one city. Rain water has been filling Lake Decatur.

Officials with water management say one billion gallons have flowed in during the past few weeks. It's a big difference from last year's drought which forced boaters to pack up.

One man who's made the lake his home since 1989 is happy to see lake levels back to normal. Officials say this is the most run-in water the lake has seen since 2008.
