SEWARD -- People in Winnebago County are returning home after being evacuated for more than 24-hours. A chemical plant blew up Sunday.

People camped on the outskirts of town, waiting to be allowed to return home. Authorities were cautious about letting them return because of toxic chemicals in the plant.

Crews were forced to let the plant burn because of how those chemicals react with water. The health department and EPA are investigating. At this point, tests show no toxic chemicals in the air or water.

Four workers were inside the plant at the time of the explosion. One was treated and released for a possible back injury. No word on what caused the explosion.
