EDGAR COUNTY -- A fallen sheriff is receiving a special honor, 25 years after his death. Deputy Sheriff John Dean Landrum was killed in the line of duty in February 1989. Now the state will dedicate a section of U.S. 150 in his honor.

It's something his family says would be as special to him as being an officer. The roadway will stretch from Paris to the Indiana border. Memorial signs will go up along the highway at a later date.
