CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- Authorities want you to be aware of a Mother's Day scam. Seniors are getting calls saying their children bought them Life Alert as a gift. The scammer then tells the person there's a monthly fee and they need a credit card number to make payments.

Seniors in Christian and Shelby counties have received the calls. Authorities want to remind people to never give out their credit card or bank information to someone who calls them.
