DECATUR -- One area school opened its doors Thursday to showcase its unique way of education. Durfee Magnet School hosted Tech-Xploration 2014. People were invited to take self-guided tours through classrooms to learn how kids are using technology in their everyday lessons.

The project showed how students are blogging, creating e-books and using iTunes University. All staff and students are given iPads. Durfee is the only school in the district using this kind of technology in its lessons.
