NATIONAL -- Something straight out of science fiction could help amputees. The FDA has approved a groundbreaking bionic arm. It's inspired by the movie Star Wars.

The battery-powered prosthetic is controlled by signals from the brain. It looks like the one Luke Skywalker received after losing his right hand in a light-saber duel with Darth Vader. Unlike most prostheses, this one can perform tasks like zipping a coat and unlocking a door with a key.
