NORMAL -- Illinois State University is on high alert. A bomb threat was found in a campus bathroom.

The university's president sent students and staff a message about heightened safety over the next few days. Classes will still be held, but students should expect backpack checks, a heavy presence of police on campus as well as officers sweeping buildings.

The university is working with local authorities and the FBI.
