Shooting Victim Drives Self to Hospital

    About 2 am, police responded to the 400-block of East Columbia for a report of shots fired. They then learned a 33-year old male gunshot victim had driven himself to the hospital.
    The victim told police he was sitting in his car in the driveway of a friend's home with a female passenger when a vehicle pulled up behind them. A short time later, he heard a "pop" and saw the driver's side window had broken.
    The victim reported hearing additional shots before realizing he'd been hit. His injuries are not life threatening. The passenger was not hurt.

    An investigation is underway for a shooting in Champaign. It happened in the 400-block of East Columbia at 2 am. A victim was shot while in his car and drove himself to the hospital. No word on his condition.
