Shootings centered in one area of town

CHAMPAIGN -- The recent series of shootings is taking place in one area of the city. All have happened within about two miles of one another.

The first, Friday afternoon, was in the 1100-block of Mimosa. Two cars were damaged in that shootout.

A few hours later, three people were hospitalized after being shot near 4th and Washington streets.

Saturday afternoon, someone fired shots into a home in the 1300-block of North Hickory. No injuries were reported.

Three people were caught in the line of fire Saturday night in the 1200-block of Bradley Avenue. Two were treated at the hospital.

Monday night's shooting was near the intersection of 4th and Vine. No one was hurt.
