NORTHBROOK -- Three members of one family appeared in federal court Thursday. Investigators say they can't believe the shoplifting operation they almost got away with.

It was run by a mom, dad and their 34-year old daughter. Authorities say the daughter would wear a large skirt with a special lining where she would hide stolen items.

The trio has traveled the country doing this then selling the items on eBay for ten years. They've made more than $7 million. The stolen goods ranged from American Girl dolls, Lego blocks and baby carriers.
