URBANA -- The end of summer means the start of football. Soon, kids will be lacing up their cleats to start practice. Since injuries are part of the game, Carle Hospital is hosting a sports medicine symposium. Coaches, athletes and their parents were invited to learn about injury prevention.

This is the second year for the seminar. Last year focused on concussions. This year, heat stroke was a big topic of discussion. Because of the cool July, doctors are concerned some athletes will have trouble adapting to higher temperatures in August.
