Stabbing involves 2 teens: 1 victim, 1 suspect

Update: 10:45 am, 3/21/17, Tuesday 

SPRINGFIELD -- A teen who died from a stabbing has been identified.

Authorities say 17-year old Emanuel King died about 1:30 pm, Monday.

He was the victim of a single stab wound to the chest during a scuffle n the 1800-block of South 6th.

An autopsy determined the single stab wound was the cause of death.

Toxicology and histology are pending.

SPRINGFIELD -- A teen is being questioned by police for a fatal stabbing. It happened about 1 pm, Monday, in the 1800-block of South 16th Street.

Authorities say a 17-year old was found next to the street with a single stab wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 17-year old suspect was taken into custody in the 2100-block of South 14th Street, shortly after the incident.
