CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Helping our community has never been as easy as it is this week. WCIA-3's Drew Wilder walks with a Local Leader to show us how.

When this mail truck pulls up to Research Park at the University of Illinois, a letter carrier steps out, walks in and delivers the mail each day. Saturday though, is a big day for Donna Johnson, and it's not what she delivers which makes it special, but rather what she picks up.

May 10, you're asked to leave non-perishable food items at your mailbox as a donation to the Stamp Out Hunger Drive. No postage needed, just a small donation to a day this mail carrier spent years organizing.

The letter is the oldest way of delivering a message and Saturday, when this mail carrier walks by your door, she hopes you'll deliver a message to your community. All the food goes to help those in need in our community. For more information, click here.
