ILLINOIS -- The state's health department is warning people about illegally manufactured cheese. People who ate it are testing positive for salmonella.

100 cases have been reported in 13 counties, including Boone, Cook, DuPage, Fayette, Kane, Lake, LaSalle, Macon, Marion, McHenry, Vermilion, Washington and Will.

Health officials say the Mexican-style cheese is being sold at worksites, train stations, and street vendor operations. It's often wrapped in aluminum foil.
