Still feeling drought effects despite mild summer

CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- Droughts are a concern for everyone. We're still feeling the impact from last year's drought at the grocery store.

It destroyed or damaged portions of the major field crops in the Midwest, particularly field corn and soybeans.

The biggest impact it's had for consumers is on poultry and egg prices. In just a year, poultry prices rose 5.5%. Egg prices rose 6.9%.
