Storm spotters class aims more eyes at the sky

TUSCOLA -- Spring is officially here and with the season comes severe weather. Now, there are more eyes on the skies to keep you safe.

The Douglas County Emergency Management Agency hosted a Storm Spotter Class Thursday night. Officials from IEMA, several fire departments and trained spotters were there.

There were 54 tornadoes last year in Illinois. Eight people died; almost 200 were hurt.
