DECATUR -- The city council could vote Monday night to fund the final stage of the Downtown Streetscape Project. The $1.9 million project started in 2011.

Most of the money came form a state grant the city got in 2010, but now they're looking for $600,000 to come from the motor fuel tax. Work on the final phase could start this summer, but the majority of it will start in the fall. The renovations include new sidewalks, landscaping and street lighting.
