CHAMPAIGN -- Urbana students collected the most pajamas for needy kids in this year's competition. Kids at schools in Champaign and Urbana have been gathering the PJ's since last month. Students at Robeson Elementary collected 243 pairs, which was the most of any individual school.

Students and teachers have been taking them to Salt and Light this week so families can get them in time for the holidays. Even though Champaign students didn't win overall, they say they're proud of what they accomplished -- 687 pairs of pajamas all together.

On Friday, the students wore PJ's to school to celebrate. Their teachers wore the "Shirt of Fame" from the Urbana schools.
