BEMENT -- A student food drive is helping stock pantry shelves. Friday, the students were rewarded for their hard work.

Last week, you heard the Bement Food Pantry was running low on groceries, but the community stepped up to help, including these elementary students. They held a food drive.

Their goal was to collect 300 cans. They passed that by hundreds. In total, the students collected 700 cans and nearly $300.

Their prize was to duct tape their teacher to the wall. As a side note, the teacher who planned the drive is the wife of the teacher stuck to the wall!
