URBANA -- Students got to show everyone just how smart they are at the University of Illinois. Teams from across the state came to show off their Rube Goldberg projects. Their task was to zip a zipper and they had to do it with 20 steps or more.

The group from Milford High School gave their machine a movie-theater theme. They've been working on it for more than two months.

The winning team gets to go to the national competition in Wisconsin. This was all part of the engineering open house on the University of Illinois campus. That continues on Saturday from 9AM-3PM.
