URBANA -- From all indications, the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival appears to have been a success. One reason why may have been a new policy concerning folding chairs. This was the first year people couldn't bring them close to the main stage. Last year, those sites caused several fights. Organizers say there were fewer fights this year with numbers down significantly. They plan to keep the new rules.
URBANA -- The Sweetcorn Festival is underway. People filled the streets to eat, shop and listen to live music. Although there were some hot temperatures, people still came out to enjoy the event. There were almost 28,000 ear of corn at the 39th Urbana Sweetcorn Festival. It comes from a farm in Warrensberg. There were live concerts both Friday and Saturday nights. Organizers say it brings in about a quarter million dollars each year.
