MONTICELLO, Ill. (WCIA) -- Two Teachers to Know have a special bond. They started out as teacher and student. Now, they work side-by-side.
Kevin Rumple taught Ryan Woodham industrial tech at Monticello High School. Woodham says Mr. Rumple made such an impression on his life, he wanted to follow in his footsteps.
He says, for four years, it was his favorite class. It's something many other students agree on.
Woodham changed his major and pure luck landed him a job working right next to Mr. Rumple for the last nine years.
Rumple is retiring at the end of the year. Woodham says he's going to do his best to continue Mr. Rumple's legacy.
They both say they're fortunate to teach this program. The school offers the four-year class as an elective teaching everything from woodworking to welding.
