Teen gets 35 years for beating veteran

PEKIN -- A Tazewell County teen will spend 35-years in prison for beating an elderly military veteran. 19-year old Charles Cheney pleaded guilty to robbing and beating 85-year old Ben Piercy.

Cheney stole his combat medals in 2012, then beat him so badly he suffered a concussion and broken nose. U.S. Representative Aaron Schock replaced Piercy's medals. Piercy recovered from the injuries, but has since died.
