HOOPESTON -- Work is well underway to gain control of the Lorraine Theater. The Theater Foundation has several experts looking over the building as it tries to raise money.

Members want to eventually reopen it, but say it'll take at least $200,000 to restore both theaters. They hope the theater will attract more people to the community. The first Lorraine Theater opened for business in 1922.
